My Story
Storytelling starts with curiosity.
I ask a lot of questions.
With a background in journalism—I got my first job as a news reporter for a local radio station at 16—I've lived my entire life telling stories, including my own.
I wrote the best-selling cookbook/memoir, Cowgirl Chef: Texas Cooking with a French Accent (Running Press/Hachette), a collection of essays and recipes that captured my homesickness for Texas and big love for France.
My straightforward, journalism-based storytelling style works across media boundaries. I've written for radio and television, magazines and newspapers, and worked for agencies as a multimedia content developer and casting director. In book publishing, I've worked as a ghostwriter, editor, and book coach.
Based in Paris and Dallas, when I'm not working, I'm usually at the park with my lively Australian Shepherd, Grace, taking French lessons (still), or writing novels.
